Hello PODER Academy and P.A.S.S. families!
I was born and raised in Wyoming, and it continues to be my favorite state. I received my ADN from LCCC and have bachelor’s degrees in both Human Food and Nutrition and Nursing from the University of Wyoming.
I welcome you to stop in or call me with any of your child’s concerns.
Effective January 24th, 2022, PODER Academy and Secondary will follow LCSD1 and discontinue the mask mandate for students. However, our staff will continue to mask-up and we strongly encourage students to do the same.
Below is a list of frequently asked questions from parents. Stay up to date on all things related to health and safety.
The required quarantine/isolation period is now 5 days from the onset of symptoms, or positive test (which ever comes first). Close contacts are no longer required to quarantine BUT must be asymptomatic to attend school.
Positive cases must be fever-free for 24 hours with other symptoms greatly improved and must then wear a mask for 5 days.
Close contacts are no longer required to quarantine BUT must be asymptomatic to attend school. The school nurse will nevertheless continue contact tracing to monitor for problem areas and outbreaks.
1. Your child doesn’t feel well enough to take part in normal activities. (For example, your child is overly tired, fussy, or unable to participate in expected activities).
2. Your child has specific symptoms on the list here.
3. Based on the nurse’s assessment and judgment. The Admin team reserves the right to send a child home at any time.
***Remember, the best way to stop the spread of infection is through good hand washing.
ATTENTION 6th Grade students: You must receive a booster immunization (Tdap) containing Tetanus toxoids, Diphtheria, and acellular pertussis before entering 7th grade.
